Tonight we put up some more tile in the shower upstairs.  

Bathroom Mirror (10/28/14)

Today Mike put up the mirror in the bathroom, the back splash on the counter, the door on the closet, and hung the towel rods.

He also put the shelves in the small closet in the office.

Bathroom Closet Shelves & Water (10/27/14)

Today Mike put the shelves in the closet in the upstairs bathroom.  He also hooked up the water and finished the electrical.....and I quickly moved a bunch of stuff in :)  I've been more than excited to stop going downstairs to get ready everyday!  

Bathroom Vanity (10/26/14)

Today Mike put the vanity in the upstairs bathroom.  I got most of the outlets wired up.

Bathroom Tile Grouted (10/25/14)

Mike grouted the floor tile in the upstairs bathroom today.  It didn't turn out the color it was supposed to, not quite sure why.  One of the tiles didn't seem to bond right either in front of the door so he's going to pull that one up to fix it and probably skim more grout over the whole floor and hopefully it turns out the color it was supposed to.

Bathroom Paint Finished (10/23/14)

Today I did the second coat of paint on the walls in the upstairs bathroom.

Mike hung the new light and started laying out the tile for the floor.

Today I ended up putting a 3rd coat of paint on the ceiling in the upstairs bathroom.  I could see the green of the sheetrock bleeding through the white so I added another coat.

I also did the first coat of paint on the walls.

Mike put up some more tile in the shower.

Bathroom Ceiling & Closet Painted (10/21/14)

Today I painted the closet and the ceiling in the upstairs bathroom.

Upstairs Bathroom Sanded (10/20/14)

Today I got the sheetrock in the upstairs bathroom sanded.

Today we got the tile started in the shower in the upstairs bathroom.

Finished Durarock on Shower (10/18/14)

Today Mike finished putting up the Durarock in the shower in the upstairs bathroom.

Final Layer of Concrete (10/17/14)

Today Mike put on the final layer of concrete on the floor of the shower in the upstairs bathroom.

He also patched the floor downstairs where we took out the old chimney.

Tonight Mike put down the next layer of the shower floor in the upstairs bathroom.  Another layer of concrete will go over this.

Tonight Mike put the first layer of concrete on the shower floor in the upstairs bathroom.

After a big birthday bash to celebrate Evan turning 8, Kate turning 5, and Jonah turning 3.....

And an amazing vacation to Vegas...

We're back at!  Tonight Mike put in the Durarock on the floor of the shower in the upstairs bathroom and  I got back to mudding.

Bathroom Sub floor (10/2/14)

Today I did a bunch more mudding in the upstairs bathroom and Mike put down the sub floor.  He also put the toilet back in temporarily so we have a toilet upstairs for now!

Bathroom Sheetrock Done (10/1/14)

Mike finished hanging the sheetrock in the upstairs bathroom today.  He put insulation in the walls around the shower and put up most of the durarock.  The bottom pieces can't be put on until the floor for the shower is put in.  I did a bunch more mudding.

Bathroom Sheetrock (9/30/14)

Mike hung more sheetrock in the bathroom today.  He finished the ceiling and has a little left on the walls. I got a bunch of mudding done, I was able to put fans on to dry the mud quickly so some areas got a couple coats....fast and efficient :)
