I finally got around to cleaning the front porch and oiling it.  It turned out really nice and looks brand new again!

Mike grouted the tile in the bathroom upstairs tonight.  Seems like it turned out better than the first time.

Upstairs Bathroom Floored Re-Tiled (7/19/15)

Today Mike put the tile back down on the floor in the upstairs bathroom.  He put a bunch more screws in the sub-floor and the tiles seemed to go down better than the last time.....so fingers crossed that it works better this time!!

Clogged Pipe & Air Conditioning (7/13/15)

Yesterday morning Evan told us there's water on the floor downstairs....NO!!!!  We had water down there about 2 weeks ago when we had a big rainfall and the new sump pump under the steps didn't work.  Mike figured out the float switch wasn't working on the pump and was able to fix it.  We got everything dried out and put back together within a few days.....so when Evan said there was more water downstairs we were not too happy!  This time it turned out that the main water line going out to the street was clogged.  Mike tried to clear it out with a snake but didn't have any luck.  We were able to get a plumber out Sunday evening but he couldn't clear it either with his a little bit more heavy-duty snake.  They sent a plumber right away in the morning on Monday with a 100 foot snake with an auger on it; he was able to get it all cleaned out and even ran a camera through there out to the street to show me its clear.  So picture this - Sunday night, it's beastly hot and humid out, we have no air conditioning and now no plumbing (can't run water without the drain plug in so now water is standing in sink and can't flush any toilets)!  I was feeling pretty down....but luckily we were able to get it fixed in about 24 hours and Mike's dad came to the rescue and helped Mike get the air hooked up...thank god!!!

Mike re-routed the hose for the drain-tile so it no longer dumps into the sump basin and now it goes back outside.
