Just one front door (9/17/13)

Today I put down some wood chips.  I ran out but also didn't really want to put them on the whole front section because we are going to put a small tree there, I'd rather put them down once the tree is in.

Mike removed the old front doors and covered up the opening.

We worked on electrical in the back room.  Ran wires to and from the outlets and Mike put in some more recessed lights.

Front Door (9/16/13)

Mike installed the front door last night!  I love it!!  So at the moment we have 2 front doors :) until the other is removed and boarded up.  We also worked on drilling some holes in the studs for electrical in the back rooms, Mike put up some more recessed lights in the new dining room.

Bump Out Done! (9/15/13)

Today Mike cut the window holes in the sheeting for the windows in the bump out.  He put in the new windows and put the house wrap on.  He also started on tearing apart the house where the new front door will go.

On a side note, the grass is starting to grow in the backyard!!  It's only a few blades here and there, but I see it!!

Office Window Bump Out (9/14/13)

Today Mike worked on the office window bump out section.  We decided to put the windows out about a foot just to give it a little more pop.  He took out the window that was in the front corner of our bedroom.  He also framed up the bump out itself and the wall to fit in the windows, and sheeted the outside.

Grass Seed!

We put down grass seed in the backyard today!  This is so exciting since we've had a summer of dirt!!  Crossing my fingers that it comes in nice.  Mike setup a temporary sprinkler system and put it on a timer so we can keep up on watering.

Straightening out the yard (9/7/13)

Today we finished spreading extra dirt around and straightening out the yard so we can get grass seed planted!  We put in some edging and did a little planning where we'll put a patio and some plants.

The fence will go back in the corner here and maybe a small hydrangea tree
