Steps & Jams (11/12/15)

Today I filled all the holes (from mounting) in the door jams throughout the house so I can start painting them.  Wow we have a lot of doors!

Mike got a start on one of the trim boards for the steps.  We will be getting the steps done prior to the carpet coming next week so they can put the runner on.

This board still needs to be notched for each of the stairs.

The Painting is DONE!! (11/11/15)

Today I finished the final coat of paint in the family room downstairs.  This was the very last room to be done and it feels so good to be done!!

Mike wired the outlets and I put all the cover plates on.  We also got the family room measured for carpet tonight; should be installed next week.  It's coming together!

They have all their tools to help Dad!

Family Room First Coat Painted (10/31/15)

Today I painted the first coat of paint in the family room.  I will edge and do the final coat after Mike sprays the knock-down on the ceiling.

I am painting the old concrete floor in the family room because it is all sticky with old adhesive that was under tile.  I got some concrete sealer and have started with the back half of the family room since I need to do it in sections so we can get through the area.

This is the painted section of the floor

I also painted the wall around the window in the office.

We officially have no more bare sheetrock in the house!  Yay!

Family Room Ceiling Painted (10/30/15)

Today I painted the ceiling in the family room and the insides of the windows in the family room and the office window.
