Crown Molding for Cubbies (5/30/14)

Today we got the crown molding for our cubbies and the doors for the book shelf next to the fireplace.  They have hinges so the doors can easily be removed since the TV is in there.  We are just about done with our cabinets; we didn't like how the doors for both the up and downstairs bathroom closets turned out so they are going to redo them and that should be the last thing.

Fixing the Circle Patio AGAIN...WHAT?!?!

After the pool decided to dump on the patio and wash out the sand, for the 4th time Mike fixed the patio again today!!  At least this time he didn't have to pull much out so it didn't take too long!

He also put in a little more flooring in the living room.

Found these HUGE lilacs on a walk tonight, my house smells amazing!!

Fireplace! (5/28/14)

Today we got the rest of our cabinets that weren't right on the initial install on May 5th.  This includes:

Corner cabinet in kitchen
Fireplace
Missing pieces for the bookshelves along side the fireplace
Seat for cubbies
Doors for both up and down bathroom closets

The cabinet installers were here all day long, didn't leave until about 9 PM!  They didn't have enough crown molding for the cubbies so once again they will be back for that.

So......our circle patio has a curse on it!  2 days ago we pulled up half of it and fixed it so it was nice and level again.  So that means its time to get the pool setup, right!?!?!  We set it up and just after Mike and I went to bed we hear this gush of water!  Apparently the pool was filled a little too high and the side flipped down and a ton of the water poured out!  It came out with so much force that it washed out the sand under the pavers in that spot.  Just lovely, now it needs to be fixed again!!  Kinda feels like we're not meant to have that patio!?!?!  Or maybe it thinks we have nothing better to do?!!? ;)  I think not!

TV Setup (5/27/14)

Today I did some mudding in the office closets and Mike got the TV and receivers all setup in the new book shelf next to the fireplace.  We are getting the rest of our cabinets tomorrow including the fireplace so Mike had to move an outlet on the fireplace wall to get ready for it.

3rd Times a Charm on that Circle Patio! (5/26/14)

Last year when the front end loader dug the hole for the addition it sat on our circle patio.  The patio ended up sinking down on that side so it was not level anymore.  We are ready to put in the other patio blocks behind the house and along the garage so we decided it was time to fix it. 

Yesterday we went to the compost site in SSP and got some free sand for the patios.  

Today we started tearing apart the circle patio!  This is the 3rd time putting this dang thing down!  
1. When we built it at our old house
2. When we pulled it up from our old house and brought it here
3. Now!
Hopefully it stays put now!!

All the pavers are out and he's started adding in more sand & leveling it out

We were able to finish it all up!  So nice to be done in one day!

We got all the pavers pulled out that we needed to fix, sand added in to level it back out, the pavers put back into place, and sand filled in all the cracks all in one day!  It started to drizzle on us a little and got dark out....but it got done!

Bathroom Door (5/24/14)

Today Mike finished the flooring in front of the upstairs bathroom and put in the door to the bathroom.

Fence (5/23/14)

Today Mike finished putting up the white fence section and he also connected the chain link fence back up.
