Floors COMPLETE :) and storage room painted (1/6/11 - 1/7/11)

Mike started putting the clear on the floors on Thursday, the 6th.  He put one coat on right when he got home from work.  Then I went over and primed the walls in the storage room while he stayed home with the kids and went to bed.  Then he got up at 3:00am and put another coat of clear on!  Yes I know we are crazy!

Kate had tear duct surgery this morning so we took the day off to do that.  It was really quick and easy, we had to be there by 8:15 and were back on the road by 10:00.  The actual procedure took about 3 minutes!  We took Kate home and she napped while Mike went back over to the house and sanded the floors before the last coat so they would be nice and smooth.

Tonight Mike finished the last coat of clear and is more than happy that they are done!!!  The clear lightened up the areas that Mike sanded and restained, which was a little surprising.  So we'll just say they have some character now.  Not exactly how I hoped they would turn out, but they will do.  I'm sure once we get all our stuff moved in we won't even notice the flaws....hopefully :)

I worked on painting the walls in the storage room, which are now complete...yay!  Two coats of white paint, after the one of prime last night.  I'm glad to be out of that gloomy room.  It is now ready for Mike to put the flooring down.
