Siding Completed!!! (7/27/14)

Today Mike finished the siding!! He did the last side of the garage and a little section that was left above the front window.  Feels good to be done!

The grass in the backyard that we planted in the fall did not come in very good.  There was all this weird dead wheat looking grass that just wouldn't go away.  Today we decided to cut that spot really short and rake out as much of the dead I could get out.  I'm hoping it grows back better!

Mike finished the siding on the back of the garage today.  One side to go!

Mike put up a little more siding on the back of the garage tonight.

Tonight Mike took off the rest of the siding on the back of the garage and put up about half of the new siding.

Ducts (7/21/14)

Another nasty humid hot day with barely any air!  The air is hooked up and works but isn't quite plumbed to many rooms in the house just yet so it is by no means efficient and even enough to cool down the house.  Mike's parents were super kind to come over and charge up the air conditioner for us today!  Mike ran a duct in the ceiling of the kids room and venting through the floor to our bedroom....it's a start to the duct work, hopefully this motivation for ducts/vents continues!

Garage Siding (Side 2 of 4) (7/20/14)

Today we got one side of the garage sided.  Mike pulled a little more siding off the back so he could put the corner piece on.

Today Mike pulled off the old siding on one side of the garage.  We also did a lot of rearranging, cleaning, weeding, and trimming in the backyard; it always amazes me how fast things get over grown!

Final Wood Floors & Doors (7/12/14)

Today Mike finished the floor in the office.  This completes all the hardwood!  Another big accomplishment done!  He also put in the door to the small closet in the office and the door to the laundry room.

Office Desk (7/9/14)

Today we got the desk in the office put into place and the under-layment for the flooring put down.  It'll still need to be moved once we get further on the floor but it feels good to be in this spot instead of the middle of the room!

Mike put in more of the flooring in the office today, it's about half done!

I wired in all the outlets and brought up some "office" stuff we've had put away for a long time.  It feels so good to finally have a home for things!
