1st Coat of Paint on Wall Going Down Steps (6/25/15)

Today I painted the first coat of paint on the bottom half of the wall going down the steps.  We'll need to get out the "plank" for the 2nd coat to get all the way up to the ceiling, so Mike will need to do that.

Wall Going Down Steps Sanded (6/24/15)

Today I sanded the bottom half of the wall going down the steps.  Now it's ready for paint.

Upstairs Bathroom Floor Scraped (6/17/15)

Tonight Mike finished scraping all the old mortar off the upstairs bathroom sub floor.  

Bathroom Blues (6/16/15)

Shortly after we installed the tile in the upstairs bathroom we noticed it just didn't seem right.  The grout started to crack, a couple of the pieces seemed warped and stuck up above the others, one piece even cracked along the wall by the door.  Mike thought maybe he could replace just the broken piece for now and then wait until we have more time to fix the rest of the floor, but when he took out the broken piece he discovered a lot of the pieces were loose and just pulled right up.  The mortar didn't seem to bond to the back of the tile, just the floor.  We decided it would be best to pull it all up and start over.  Mike was able to pull it all up only breaking one tile (we have a whole box left of the tiles) and started scraping the mortar off the sub floor.

A little backyard DIY (6/14/15)

We put up a pool for the kids for the summer, it has a couple pumps that sit on the patio next to it.  We've been meaning to build something to cover them up and also be able to use it as a table when we are swimming in the pool.  Mike made one today using wood that we had leftover from building our steps and from pallets.

 I've also been wanting hooks to hang beach towels on.  We had some extra hooks that we didn't use laying around and more pallet wood so Mike put them together and hung them on the side of the garage.

On a side note we haven't made a lot of progress around the house lately.....but have no fear we are not sitting around relaxing we have another project we've been working on at my mom's house! Because I love mudding soooooo much I am now mudding her bathroom ;)  A new tub surround and tile floor turned into a complete bathroom demo and even the washer & dryer in there.....it sure will be beautiful when it is done!

Jonah's Closet Shelf & Rod (6/10/15)

Today Mike put in Jonah's closet rod and shelf.

Jonah's Room Carpeted (6/3/15)

Today Mike put in the carpet in Jonah's room.  This is so exciting!!!!  Finally after about a year and a half of moving around and sharing, all 3 kids have their own rooms again!!  

Jonah's Room Painted (5/31/15)

Today I painted Jonah's room!  It's all ready for carpet, which should come Monday or Tuesday.

Jonah's Ceiling painted & sprayed (5/30/15)

Today I painted the ceiling in Jonah's room and Mike sprayed the knock-down on the ceiling.  I also painted the closet and insides of the windows white.

Today I sanded the sheetrock in Jonah's room so now it is ready for the ceiling to be sprayed and paint!
